WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS

How to Do It: This would be done in the way that works best for you, your families, your friends, your groups, and your communities. If you are in an activist group that is considering having a rally on July 4th, consider passing out copies of the Declaration and having a loudspeaker reading of the Declaration the central event of the day. If you are at a party with family or friends, consider taking a pause in the festivities to consider the importance of the day by having someone read the Declaration to the guests. If you are on vacation, or at a fireworks event, or just hanging out, read the Declaration out loud. Whether you are with a lot of people, a few friends, or even by yourself-- read the Declaration out loud. In addition to reading the Declaration out loud, we are sure many people would like to see other people reading it. So we encourage those who film a reading of the Declaration to post clips on social media with the hashtag #WeHoldTheseTruths2026 Post Your Event On Mobilize.us If you would like to host an event where you incorporate a Declaration reading, when you fill out the event description, we encourage you to give it the title "We Hold These Truths". But whatever title you give it, add the hashtags #WeHoldTheseTruths and #WeHoldTheseTruths2026 These steps will enable people to easily find all We Hold These Truths events. Before July 4th: To gain momentum for this action, we would actually like people to start practicing right away. You can start posting clips and using the hashtag right now! When you do, remind people that the goal is to have mass participation on the 4th of July. How Is the Declaration Relevant for Us Today? ...

IT WAS THEN...

AS IT IS NOW.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all (men) are created equal

Regardless of race, color, creed, gender, sexual identity, national origin, age or abilities

ABOUT US >

We are a Colorado volunteer organization formed in 2025 in Westminster and the surrounding areas, under the Indivisible banner.

We have come together as a local group stricken by this administration’s actions and promises, as well as by the  decades of strategic planning that have allowed for it.

We operate under the assumption that we can direct meaningful change, regardless of how small.
